Britain will never again put up with families “languishing on the dole and dependency” after an overhaul of the benefit system, David Cameron has said.Cameron will be jubilant at getting his welfare reforms through Parliament - but now it's his turn to do the work and show the country how his radical shake up of the welfare state will get the long - term out of work into sustainable employment.
So far only 3,110 real time longer- term have been referred in to his multi - billion flagship WORK programme.
He's yet to show us whether the Universal Credit really will simplify the benefits system.
He's yet to show us whether his expensive reforms will make any savings on the £190 billion benefit bill.
He's yet to show us how people will cope with the problems welfare reforms always create; - whilst he takes away adequate support and advice for those most likely to be affected.
He's yet to create an economy which creates the jobs he says the private sector will create as part of his growth plan.
He's got his work cut out and an awful lot of promises to fulfil - it's up to him to deliver now.
He'll be long gone before we all see what a disaster it turns out to be.
