There was a good programme on ITV tonight, called 'Working Lives' it tackled the problem of rising unemployment and how difficult it was for the young and those over fifty to equip themselves for finding work. But what about the disabled?James Caan, entrepreneur and Family Tsar Emma Harrison of A4E made appearances and gave advice on how to find work by brushing up on presentation and having a good CV. These programmes are all very well, but isn't the real problem that there simply aren't enough vacancies to match the numbers of people looking for work? It's all well and good being head of the queue, but shouldn't we be looking at the increasing length of these queues? With so much emphasis on getting thousands of disabled and incapacitated people back to work, how is it they didn't even get a mention? Thoughts anyone?
