ITV Tonight gave some very good coverage over how mortgage repossessions are set to rise when interest starts to creep up.FIGHTING REPOSSESSION: TONIGHTThe Repossessed: Tonight Jonathan Maitland talks to families struggling to meet their mortgage payments and hold on to their homes, and examines the role the banks have played in this latest housing crisis. More than 100 people a day are having their properties repossessed and one leading banker is warning of a further increase if interest rates start to rise. The programme maintained how lender's had been encouraged to act with 'forbearance'. Whilst some said this was keeping repossessions down, others were saying it forces people further into debt. I haven't been able to find a link to the programme, if anyone else can please post it on here. With all this on the horizon, where is the sense in severely limiting or withdrawing legal aid in all social welfare cases, do they want to force this upon the economy?
