A new video has been launched today by Bedworth, Rugby & Nuneaton Citizens Advice Bureau
The film examines the potential implications that the new Legal Aid Bill could have on local people who rely on one-to-one advice to help resolve a multitude of problems
The film looks at real life client scenarios where the work of Brancab has been instrumental in helping people resolve their housing, debt and welfare problems before the costs, both to the individual concerned and the state, become prohibitively expensive.
David Gooding, Manager of Bedworth & Rugby Citizens Advice Bureau said:
"It is important that decision makers understand the implications and the significant threat to funding the Legal Aid reforms will have on local communities. The changes will potentially leave thousands of people without access to justice as well as leaving advice groups with significantly less funding despite rising demand for free, independent and impartial advice''
