Article in Daily Mirror on legal aid cuts and the military covenant. It's all very well to give soldiers legal rights but if they can't enforce them is there any point?

The new Military Covenant is “worthless” due to legal aid cuts, experts said yesterday.
On Monday Defence Secretary Liam Fox announced the Government will guarantee in law injured soldiers rights such as decent hospital treatment, a council tax rebate and free IVF.
Veterans will have the right to sue if they are let down, but the Law Society said plans to cut the legal aid fund by £350million will make it “much harder” to do so.
Chief executive Desmond Hudson said: “The Covenant will not be worth more than the paper it is written on.”
