Patrick and the teams on Ilegal and Mylegal are working tremendously hard to get this campaign out there in the public eye. It's a tough battle getting people to sit up and take notice at a time when so many other reforms are attracting attention. But, we can all do our bit, we need to do all we can; we need to do this now.
The New Statesman magazine are running a story in their weekly magazine which comes out tomorrow. So on your way to work, call in at your newsagent and buy yourself a copy. It's on the front page and it's a major article on the effect these cuts are having on front line key service workers. You will see amongst them the 'Legal Aid worker', join the on-line blog and get a preview of what the article will be about by using the following links:

www.newstatesman.com/blogs/the-staggers/2011/01/front-cover-sneak-preview-2
You will need to register on the page, but it's very easy and takes very little time.
The campaign launch was a great success but we need to do more, far more, we need this on the front page of the tabloids, if we cultivate enough interest we can.
Have a read, write an article, have your say, tell your story, join the on-line blog, sign petitions, promote an event, set up a march, just do something to make sure that Legal Aid is preserved for those that need it.
Are you doing your bit to fight for the future of Legal Aid? that's our future, the future for our clients and the future for social justice.
It time for everyone to get involved.
